The Bounce Games Park
A popular spot for year-round exercise and connection
Urban basketball park with a side of public art attracts visitors from across the city and builds vibrancy on a future development site.
Overview
Bringing an active vibe to Calgary's colourful East Village
The Bounce opened in 2019 at 4th Street and 8th Avenue SE—the future development site was the perfect temporary activation location surrounded by East Village’s beloved heritage buildings and the bustle of the Central Library. This free outdoor play space offers a full-sized basketball court and ping-pong tables plus ground-level snakes & ladders, four-square and hopscotch boards—all set to a colourful backdrop of murals by MAUD (Calgary duo Kathryn Pearce and Tanner Hamilton) titled Found Home.
