Winters are warmer in the Scandinavian-style Hygge Hut

In 2020, CMLC introduced Calgarians to the Danish concept of hygge (pronounced “hoo-ga”)—a cozy, contented feeling that’s so welcome in the chilly winter months. The wintertime Hygge Hut is a repurposed shipping container with outdoor gas-powered firepits. In summer, we transform the site into East Village HQ—a fun, central spot for learning more about this special neighbourhood.
